MISS in Lumbar Spine: Basics and Principles of UBE and Tubular Surgery
On May 1–2, 2026, Tashkent successfully hosted the international conference and hands-on workshop "MISS in Lumbar Spine: Basics and Principles of UBE and Tubular Surgery", held in collaboration with XPmed Academy and the WFNS Spine Committee. The event brought together leading specialists in spinal surgery, neurosurgery, and minimally invasive technologies.The spinal section was attended by more than 100 participants from various regions of Uzbekistan and from abroad. The main objective of the conference was to expand both practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of modern minimally invasive spinal interventions, including UBE (Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy), tubular surgery, and minimally invasive decompression (MID) techniques.Over the course of two days, participants attended lectures dedicated to modern approaches to the treatment of lumbar spine pathology, decompression and stabilization techniques, and also took part in a hands-on workshop using hyper-realistic simulators.Particular attention was given to:
modern endoscopic technologies in spinal surgery;
the principles and anatomical landmarks of UBE and tubular surgery;
the safe integration of minimally invasive techniques into clinical practice;
the analysis and discussion of complex clinical cases.
The conference became an important platform for the exchange of experience, professional networking, and the further development of modern spinal surgery in Uzbekistan.
